Getting older is inevitable.Getting weaker isn't.

Reenova is personal training that grows up with you — strength, mobility and balance for adults of all ages, with a specialism in falls prevention for adults 60+.

The Reenova Method

Four evidence-based pillars at the heart of every session.

Falls aren't random. They happen where strength, reflexes, attention and the senses meet — so we train all four, deliberately.

01

Strength & Power Training

Physical Capacity

Building the muscular foundation required to support the body and generate force rapidly.

Targeting the lower limbs — quadriceps, glutes, ankle plantar/dorsiflexors — and the core. It must include power training (moving a resistance quickly), because catching yourself during a fall depends on rapid force production, not just slow strength.

02

Perturbation & Reactive Training

Reflexive Recovery

Training the automatic, subconscious neuromuscular responses to an unexpected loss of balance.

Shifting from voluntary movement to involuntary reflexes using controlled slips, trips, nudges and reactive stepping — reducing the 'time to react' when a fall actually begins.

03

Cognitive-Motor Dual-Tasking

Balance Under Distraction

Training the brain to divide attention between a physical movement and a mental task.

Most real-world falls happen when someone is distracted — talking, looking for keys, reading a sign. We pair balance and walking drills with cognitive challenges so balance stays stable even when the brain is busy.

04

Vestibular & Proprioceptive Training

Sensory Integration & Spatial Awareness

Optimising the three systems the body uses to stay upright: visual, vestibular (inner ear) and proprioceptive (joints and feet).

Standing with eyes closed, turning the head while walking, standing on foam pads — training the nervous system to trust and accurately interpret the remaining sensory cues.

Sarcopenia and frailty aren't a countdown

From around age 40, adults naturally begin losing muscle mass and bone density, and a sedentary lifestyle drastically accelerates it — leading to early frailty, loss of mobility and a high risk of falls. Strength training counteracts that decline, reduces frailty and boosts metabolic health.
